We know that you receive 2 or 3 credit card offers each week at home. Credit cards are an absolute necessity in today’s economy. You need one to pay for emergency items like gasoline and towing. You need one when you are traveling. You need one when you order from a catalog or the internet. We have credit cards, and our rates have not gone up since 1996! The average rate for credit cards in the US is over 22%. We have no monthly fee, no annual fee, and no fee to transfer.

Want to get one? Here’s what you do. You apply for a card and we check out your credit rating. Even though every member owns the Credit Union, not every member can qualify for one of our cards. Based on your credit score, if approved, you will receive one of our Visa cards. If you have a good rating, we will issue you a Classic Card and if you have an excellent rating, we will issue you a Gold Card. You will notice immediately that it looks different from any other Visa card that you have ever seen. It is called a Cajun Credit® Visa. We are so proud of it that we have registered both the name and the look of the card so that no other company can copy it. We have an introductory rate of 6.75% APR for the Gold Card and 9.75% APR for the Classic Card. That rate is good for 6 months (or 12 months if you transfer a balance of $250 or more from another Visa). After the introductory rate, the rates are 8.75% APR (Gold) and 12.75% APR (Classic). The card is good at any merchant and any ATM that honors Visa.

Right now, if you don’t have a Cajun Credit® in your purse or wallet, click on the application here. You will be sent to a secure site where you can input your information. We can generally qualify an application by the end of the next business day. The card itself will take 7 to 10 business days. If you already have a First Pioneers FCU Credit Card and want to review your statement or pay your bill click here.
