To qualify for membership, an individual must meet certain criteria.  Primarily eligible are employees and retirees of companies that have formally associated with the First Pioneers Federal Credit Union.  These companies are called Select Employee Groups (SEG's).   Also eligible for membership are close family members of people who are already members or are employees of SEG's.  Close family members are defined as parents, grandparents, children, and siblings, We also allow existing members to open accounts for closely held small businesses and for their organizations.   Once a member joins, unless that member causes First Pioneers Federal Credit Union a loss, he/she is eligible to be a member for life. Once a year we require that you perform a transaction to your account, whether it be a deposit or withdrawal.  This transaction with stop your account from becoming dormant. If an account becomes dormant, fees are removed from the account until the account is closed.
